Based in Miami, Carolyn Mendoza is the founder of HEWN, where she brings together a background in fine art, interior design, and more than 15 years of experience in the contract furniture industry.

Classically trained in Fine Art and Interior Design, Carolyn has spent her career collaborating with architects, designers, developers, and hospitality groups to curate thoughtful furniture and lighting solutions for workplace, hospitality, multifamily, higher education, public sector, and luxury residential projects. Representing some of the industry's most respected design brands, she brings a collaborative, detail-driven approach that helps transform ideas into beautifully executed spaces.

Having lived in eight cities and traveled to more than fourteen countries, Carolyn draws inspiration from architecture, art, and culture around the world. She founded HEWN on the belief that thoughtful furniture helps create spaces that are timeless, intentional, and deeply connected to the people who use them.
